Maia is an artist and bodyworker. She uses performance, film, and writing as tools to encourage active dreaming-while-awake. Her work explores how rest, joy, and deep listening (after Pauline Oliveros), sustain the project of living presently in a state of constant change.

Her work has been supported by MOtiVE Brooklyn, Movement Research, and Middlebury College, where she was awarded the Andrea Olsen Prize, and a Kellogg Fellowship.
